Population dynamics: a stochastic
model based
on individual life history data
CNR-IAMI
Technical Report 02.07 (2002).
A modelling strategy for a single species
population dynamics of insects or acari, which can be used
to support pest management programs, is proposed. It is based on
a stochastic microscopic model describing the life history of an
individual of a structur population. The life history of an individual
is assumed completely determined by the biological processes of
development,
reproduction and mortality. The dynamics of the overall population
is determined by the time evolution of the life histories of its
individuals.
