Parameter estimation in a predator-prey system
CNR-IMATI
Technical Report 2003 - MI/6.
In this work we study the problem of parameter estimation for a
predator-prey system starting from a discrete number of observations.
The approach we use is based on likelihood function and allows to
obtain the estimator in a closed form. We show that, for a sufficiently
large number of observations, it converges in mean square to the true
value of the parameter, when the final time goes to infinity and the
interval between two consecutive observations goes to zero.
